Sognsvann Lake

I love to be in the outdoors…especially when the sun is shining.  The best day to go outdoors is Sunday…all the shops are shut on Sundays and so there isn’t much else to do.  Today we decided to go to Sognsvann.  It was recommended to us by someone on our Norwegian course…you get the T-Bane number 3 from Majorstuen and get off at the last stop – Sognsvann – approx 20 mins ride.

Sognsvann is a lake just north of Oslo and it’s the activity back yard for those living in Oslo.  We walked around the lake (approx 3km) but there are lots of bike tracks, smaller lakes, people swimming, hiking and campers.  In the winter, the bike tracks become cross country ski tracks.  It’s a lovely place and would recommend it.
