Origin Of Paperclips

Everyday you learn something new and today I found out that paperclips come from Norway!  Something you just take for granted in the office every day…then you find out they come from the land you’re living in.

Johan Vaaler, a norwegian inventor with a degree in Electronics, Science and Maths, invented the paperclip in 1899 then it wasn’t until Gem Manufacturing (a UK company) came along, altered the design and produced the double oval shape clip we know today!

Read about how 1 red paperclip was traded up for a house (it’s a good book)
