First Queens Art Concert

Not long ago I wrote a blog post about a choir that I’ve been singing in for several months. It’s such great fun and it’s a great way to meet new people when you move to a new place. I don’t understand a lot of what’s going on when we’re there but luckily we sing in English and everyone helps me out  -what better way to learn the language!

Last weekend we sang in two concerts – one for friends and family at the Queens Art Center and another more formal concert at the Chateau Neuf theatre in Olso. I’m not sure how many people the theatre seats but it certainly looked full from where I was standing. Here are a couple of videos for you to view. The first was filmed on Friday (friends and family concert – I’m in the back just left of center). The second one is from the Chateau Neuf (I’m just left of center again). You might want to fast forward a little to get to the singing – there’s a lot time spent ‘getting ready’ at the start. Marte Helleseter is the lady at the front directing the choir and Silje Karlsen on the piano!
