One Year in Norway…A Landmark!

One year ago today Eliot and I took a one way flight to Norway.  I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone and how much we’ve achieved in the time we’ve been here.  We’ve taken up cross country skiing, took a trip down the Lillehammer Bob Sleigh Run, travelled to the Arctic Circle and stayed in the Ice Hotel to watch the Northern lights,  appeared on TV…twice, experienced my first white Christmas with traditional Norwegian food, met fantastic people, joined a wonderful choir, had lots of visitors…we feel very lucky.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank our families (for helping us move, storing furniture etc), our new friends and colleagues in Norway (for translating legal documents, helping us find our way) and to all our visitors who came to see us over the last 12 months – it’s so nice to have an excuse to do tourist activities in your home town and it’s always great to see familiar faces.
