Giant Ice Sculptures In Oslo

Eliot and I went into Oslo city this morning to buy some flags ready for the ski jump championships at Holmenkollen next Saturday (FSI Nordic World Ski Championships).   I just couldn’t resist taking pictures of the huge ice sculptures the organisers commissioned.  They’re positioned along Karl Johans Gate – the main street running through Oslo from the Royal Palace to the Oslo Central train station.  Take a look below.

  1. What a great time to be living in Oslo! I love the sculptures of The Screams. Very cool (pardon the pun)

    • Hey Sam – thanks for the comment – yes, the place is buzzing at the moment. Can’t wait until next week – we’re off to see the mens team ski jump. Should be great!
